First thank you to Bo's Bar & Billiards in Warwick, RI for hosting this event. We would also like to thank the players, as well as Mike Pettit, Rob Ferguson from the PLA league (our supporter) for our beautiful T-shirts, Kristen Lambert for helping with the raffle, and of course my team: Cameo Moy for helping run the tournament, Ricardo Castro, Ralph W. Caton, and Curtis J. Rohrer.
Thank you for all who "Support The Sport"
51 players flocked to Bo's at a chance to be the first team to win our "Premiere 3-Player Team" event.
Bo's was filled with a myriad of new faces and veterans alike! They formed the most powerful teams. We felt like we were in Rome at the Colosseum.
Players put their best foot forward and played with synergy, as teammates and friends. It was all about camaraderie, eh and maybe the bragging rights, trophies, and cash.
1st Place: Team McAuliffe (Kerry McAuliffe, Keith Platt, Kevin Brule)
Kerry, Keith, and Kevin = Kut-throat! The "Triple K" took $1,700 home. They played like family. Each of them having their own individual style, seemed to work for them as a "Team".
Kerry has a methodical, meticulous approach to the table. His approach to the table seems flawless. I have to say, well, he's in high demand. Keith pulled out all the stops. I had never seen the poise in this young man before. He was as fierce and competitive as they come. Kevin, oh yes, a C+ with the mindset of SVB. Need I say more?? I think spectators went up a handicap or two just watching this team. Congratulations on this win. Cheers!
2nd Place: Team Brumbaugh (James Brumbaugh, Brian Dauphinee, Anonymity requested)
James Brumbaugh is a fierce contender and well-known player. This man makes the cue do the salsa! He maneuvers his way around the table with ease and confidence and of course a smile. Brian wearing his McDermott Ride the 9 Tour T-shirt played outstanding. Only Brian can make it look *that* simple. Player 3 was am amazing sport and supporter to the tour. He can, at any time, go from C to "run the racks". A dark horse for sure.
3rd Place: Team Cabral (Francisco Cabral, Matt Treglia, Todd Yarbough)
Francisco....Do I need even mention his last name? Always on top of his game. This gentleman knows how to run a rack or five. He is always a pleasure to watch, speak with and learn from. Matt Treglia who has not been competing much as of recently saw the light change from Red to Green. He was virtually unstoppable. Todd Yarbough was an amazing addition to the team. He was able to secure 3rd with his safe plays and good eye...natural ability.
4th Place: Team Pettit (Mike Pettit, Bill Cote, Al Michaud)
Well, I think we all know this team. If you don't, I will lift the rock for you!
Mike won last tournament. He has an amazing way of hugging the rail and a serious eye for cutting a ball. A true gentleman and competitive player.
Bill thank you for attending. You always make the room brighter with your smile (off the table that is). During play, it's always about his perfect position that gives him the "W". He has a heart of Gold and the stroke of Zeus, if Zeus played pool.
Al Michaud is a valuable asset to this team and pool community overall. He has a keen eye and and a smooth stroke to get him from point A to B. This team, and the Top 3, were no joke!
All formidable opponents!
A spectacular mention to Ralph Caton for helping form another team. His team, his opponents, and spectators spoke of his great shooting.
Congratulations to all who cashed!
